Social Media Association of Michigan New Board Member Submission

 

Thank you for your interest in leading SMAMi's mission to promote social media as an impactful communication vehicle through state-wide education, adoption of social platforms and dissemination of successful social media solutions in public and private sectors.

 

Our full board is comprised of an Executive Committee and Committee Chairs. The full board deliberates monthly via conference calls and select face to face meetings.

The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The Executive Committee has the authority to act on behalf of the full board without formal, full board deliberation.

Committee Chairs are leads for committees established by the board. Committee Chairs are responsible for setting their committee’s objectives and leading execution.

Board Service Requirements:

  • Commitment to a 2 year term
  • Participation in internal activities and communication via Facebook groups
  • Learning standards of operation upon board placement

As of 2017, you may submit for board member consideration on an ongoing basis.

2018 board placements will be confirmed by Monday, November 20.
